Matteo Bruscagin

Matteo Bruscagin, an Italian producer and DJ with over thirty years of experience, is a prominent figure in the electronic music landscape, known for embodying the essence of a multifaceted and visionary artist whose career is marked by a journey of collaborations through sounds, cultures, and innovation. From a young age, he distinguished himself with his exceptional talent, emerging not only as a tennis player but also as a DJ, performing in clubs in Treviso and at exclusive events.

In 2004, Matteo embarked on the path of music production with his friend Sam Perez. Their works were released under various pseudonyms through prestigious New York labels such as Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi Records and Wave Music Records, the latter under the guidance of renowned producer Francois Kevorkian. Their tracks quickly captured the attention of the music industry, gaining space in specialized magazines and receiving acclaim from critics, from DJ Mag to DJ Time and Yamanote magazine in Japan.

2007 marked another significant chapter in Matteo’s career with his move to Ibiza. There, he quickly became a resident DJ for prominent radio stations like IbizaGlobalRadio and performed in iconic clubs on the island such as Privilege, Amnesia, Space, Blue Marlin, and Pacha. During this period, Matteo forged collaborations with music magazines and television programs, consolidating his reputation internationally.

Matteo’s commitment extends beyond live performances; he is also a prolific studio producer, often discreetly producing many well-known artists involved in the music industry, ranging from House Music to Indie Pop. In collaboration with P. Visnadi, he explores new sound dimensions at his Yellow Garden studio, a creative oasis located in a farmhouse within a WWF park near Venice. Together, they have created innovative tracks and many projects that resonate both locally and internationally. Their work “Agartha Stories” for Siamese Records, supported by Adriatique, transforms ethnic sounds into vibrant electronic narratives.

Additionally, Matteo has collaborated with DJ Guy J of the Lost & Found label, creating profound and imaginative tracks like “Indian Stories,” which narrate stories through sounds and melodies. His track “DRPS Classic,” remixed by DJ Guy J, achieved tremendous success, reaching the second position on the Beatport charts and remaining in the top ten for over 180 days.

In addition to his work in clubs and recording studios, Matteo Bruscagin has also developed music for major brands, contributing his sound creations to advertising campaigns for Swatch and Benetton. This collaboration with globally renowned brands has further expanded his impact in the music industry. Moreover, for three years, Matteo had the honor of performing at the Venice Film Festival, an event that further enriched his career and solidified his reputation in bridging the world of music with cinema and fashion.

A significant moment in Matteo’s career was the enthusiastic reception of his track “Rain.” This piece, supported by world-renowned DJs like Solomun, became a staple in many DJ sets and enjoyed extensive exposure through influential radio platforms. In Italy, Albertino frequently played “Rain” on Radio Deejay, while in the United Kingdom, Pete Tong included it in his programs on BBC Radio 1, further elevating Matteo’s profile internationally with millions of plays. Many DJs, despite differences in musical genres, have supported his single: Artbat, Tiesto, Rufus Du Sol, Nicole Moudaber.

Looking to the future, Matteo is preparing to launch a new record label and continues to expand his repertoire with innovative projects and unreleased tracks that promise to further define his impact in the world of electronic music.
